I’m not Old Fashioned, I’m traditional!

Not everyone loves a fresh and fruity cocktail, so for the whiskey drinkers out there, the Old Fashioned is an excellent choice. Smokey, rich and aromatic, this classic cocktail makes you want to sit back in a leather armchair and gesticulate with a fine cigar while wearing a tuxedo. Perfect for a winter wedding reception.

1 teaspoon of sugar, 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters, a splash of water, and 60 ml of peated whiskey for that smoky aroma. Stir for at least 30 seconds to dissolve the sugar, and pour over one giant ice cube. Garnish with orange peel and if you’re feeling extra snazzy you can singe the peel for a little extra smoke.

Make me your wife Mimosa!

Start as you mean to go on! A Mimosa is an exceptionally easy to make (and easy to drink) wedding cocktail and a delicious way to start your wedding day! Simply fill a glass halfway with prosecco, add a dash of Grand Marnier and top with smooth orange juice – for a tasty tipple that even Great Aunt Karen is bound to love.

Deliciously Spiked Pimms

A countryside wedding in the sunshine, bunting blowing in the breeze, and an ice-cold Pimms in hand… is there anything more quintessentially British? We think not! This classic drink is a true crowd-pleaser and when filled to the brim with fresh cucumber, strawberries, orange and mint, it’s practically a cocktail and a canape in one!

For this twist on the classic Pimms wedding cocktail, simply fill a jug with one-third Pimms, two-thirds Lemonade, half a bottle of Raspberry & Gin Drunken Berries and stir. Load with sweet British strawberries, thinly cut cucumber, orange slices, plenty of fresh mint, and enjoy the taste of Great British Summer Time, Mary Berry would approve.

Something Blue Hawaiian

Struggling to find your ‘something blue’ for your wedding day, fear not we have the cocktail for you. The Blue Hawaiian is a seductively cerulean serve that is bound to turn heads during your cocktail reception. A classic 1950’s cocktail with all the tropical trimmings, it is a definite crowd-pleaser.

One part light rum, one part blue Curacao liqueur, one part creme of coconut, mixed with two parts pineapple juice shaken, then poured over ice and served with a maraschino cherry, a slice of pineapple, an umbrella….a sparkler, a twisty straw, some decorative palm trees, and a hula dancer*. (*additional decorations optional)

We want to say a HUGE congratulations to all our Brides, Grooms, and Nearlyweds that are finally getting to tie the knot after lockdown foiled their plans. We hope you have the most spectacular day filled with love, laughter and memories, and that you savour every second. Wishing you all the best for your wedding and raising a glass to you on your special day!
